Job Description
Job Purpose
The Country Sales Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Conventional Trade, Corporate Trade, Agencies, POS, and Call Center in the respective operations of the country.
He has the duty of setting targets and ensuring that the teams of the different channels in the operations meet or exceed their respective sales target.
He has the duty of monitoring the level of receivables of the different channels of the operations and maintaining a healthy financial status.
Duties and Responsibilities
Business and Planning Management
- Develops and submits to the General Manager in coordination with AWI Area Sales Manager the sales channels budget and strategy to be implemented to meet the set objectives in the different sales channels of the respective operations.
- Provides support and assistance to the different sales channels in order for the different teams to achieve their respective sales budgets in the respective operations.
- Implements sales policy and initiative plans in alignment with Sales SOP and Commercial Policy.
- Develops and recommends customer-oriented initiatives to maximize business potential.
- Guarantees full conformity with Waseet/Waseela Sales Department workflow and procedures.
Trade Management
- Implements sales policy and initiative plans in alignment with Sales SOP and Commercial Policy.
- Undertakes market visits within the different operations on periodical basis and when needed.
- Initiates contacts with potential and key clients and consolidates relationship with current ones.
- Monitors the collection process in coordination with the Finance Department of the branch.
Team Management
- Supervises daily and thoroughly the market and sales team performance.
- Provides moral motivation for his team to ensure better performance and results.
- Proposes well-structured rewards to boost and reward his team for optimum performance.
- Conducts quarterly appraisals for the Managers of the Sales Department and proposes suggestions to the General Manager and AWI Area Sales Manager.
- Secures the best coordination with other departments ie. Production and Circulation.
- Secures team balance for succession and team planning through developing and coaching skills.
Business Analysis
- Analyzes and interprets market data objectively and accurately, and makes recommendations to General Manager and AWI Area Sales Manager on how to maximize business potential.
- Keeps General Manager and AWI Area Sales Manager informed regarding channel's performance and market opportunities through a consistent reporting system and proposes corrective measures whenever needed.
Academic Qualifications
Academic Degree: University Degree; MBA is a plus. Business Administration, emphasis on Sales and Marketing is a plus.
Languages
Excellent command of Arabic and English (Written, Spoken and Read)
Work Experience
7+ years in Sales and Marketing
Minimum 3 years in Sales Management and Media Selling
Good Connections with media agencies
